When work becomes overwhelming, you don't have to face it alone
Independent support for employees dealing with a difficult situation at work. I work often with neurodivergent people and with women going through perimenopause or menopause.
A free 30-minute chat. Nothing shared, nothing pushed.

Help with the things keeping you awake
Whether it's a worry you can't shake or a letter that's just landed in your inbox, there's a way through it.
Grievances & disciplinaries
We'll get you ready together — what to say, what to take with you, and what to expect on the day.
Bullying & harassment
Someone to listen and believe you first. Then a plan to help make it stop.
Discrimination & fair treatment
Making sense of what's happened, and what being treated fairly should look like for you.
Redundancy & restructure
Understanding what's being offered and what it's worth, before you sign anything.
Speaking up safely
Raising a concern shouldn't cost you your job. We'll think it through carefully first.
Difficult conversations
Practise it with me first, so the real one feels a lot less daunting.
Especially for people work tends to overlook
I work with all employees, and I know two groups in particular are often misread at work.
Neurodivergent professionals
ADHD, autism, dyslexia and more. I'll take time to understand how you think, communicate and cope when things get hard, then work in a way that suits you — written summaries, a pace that works, and no guessing what happens next. Adjustments are your right, not a favour.
Perimenopause & menopause at work
Brain fog, tiredness and anxiety that turn up in the middle of a meeting. If your performance is being questioned instead of supported, I'll help you put words to what's happening and ask for what you need.
Anyone feeling unheard
You don't need a diagnosis or a case to deserve support. If work has started to feel heavier than it should, that's reason enough to talk it through with someone outside it.
Three steps, taken at your pace
No forms, no retainers, no drama. Just a conversation that leads somewhere better.
A first conversation
Thirty free minutes, no obligation. You talk, I listen. Nothing leaves that call.
Making sense of it
I'll explain what's happening, what your choices are and what I'd suggest next — in plain words.
Taking the next step
Letters, meetings, decisions. You stay in charge, and I'll be alongside you until it feels manageable again.
A real person, on your side
Employee Advocate is run by me, Leane. I'm an independent workplace advocate here to help you feel heard, understood and able to take the next step.

Hi, I'm Leane
I believe getting the right support should feel straightforward, personal and built around your individual situation. After years of working with people and businesses, I've seen how important it is to have someone who listens, understands your needs and provides practical guidance.
I'm not a solicitor, and I won't pretend to be. What I offer is calm, experienced workplace advocacy — someone who can sit with you in the messy middle of a difficult situation, help you make sense of it, and work out what to do next.
I work with employees, never employers. Your interests are the only interests I have in mind.
I've seen how lonely work can feel when something isn't right and you don't know who to turn to. I started Employee Advocate because I wanted people to have a place where they are believed, listened to and helped to move forward with clarity — not pushed, not rushed, and not judged.
My approach is rooted in empathy, honesty and practical support. Every situation is different, and the right path is the one that feels right for you.
- Free initial conversation so you can explain what's happening in your own words.
- I take time to understand your unique situation, not apply a one-size-fits-all process.
- We agree the right level of support together — no pressure, no retainers, no hidden fees.
- You stay in control of every decision, with honest guidance and a steady hand alongside you.
Who I support
Employee Advocate is for employees who feel unheard, overwhelmed or unsure what to do next.
Grievances
If you've raised something and it hasn't been dealt with properly, I'll help you set it out clearly and keep track of what happens next.
Disciplinary procedures
A disciplinary is frightening. I'll help you understand what's been said, prepare your response and feel less exposed in the meeting.
Workplace investigations
Whether you're being interviewed or waiting to hear back, I'll help you stay organised and know what to ask.
Bullying and harassment
You deserve to be believed. I'll listen without judgement, help you write things down and work out a way forward.
Performance concerns
When feedback feels unfair or badly handled, we'll look at what's really going on and how you want to respond.
Neurodivergent employees
Including ADHD and autism. I know how these processes can feel, and I'll work in a way that fits how you think and communicate.
Perimenopause and menopause at work
Symptoms are often mistaken for poor performance. I'll help you ask for support and the changes that would make work easier.
Workplace adjustments
From adjustments for health or neurodivergence to changes in how you're managed, I'll help you ask and follow it through.
What you can count on
A few things that matter when you're choosing someone to talk to.
Independent
I only work with employees, never employers. Your interests come first.
Confidential
What you share stays between us. Nothing is passed on without your say-so.
Practical
Clear guidance, meeting preparation and written follow-ups in plain language — grounded in CIPD professional development.
Human
Calm, compassionate support at your pace. No jargon, no pressure, no sales pitch.
"I'd been told I was 'difficult' for two years. The first thing she did was tell me I wasn't imagining it. By the time I walked into that meeting, I knew exactly what to say — and for the first time, I felt like myself again."

Questions people often ask
If you're wondering whether this is for you, these might help.
No. I'm a workplace advocate, not a solicitor. I help you understand what's happening, get ready for meetings and keep your paperwork in order. If you need a solicitor, I'll say so and help you find one.
Employees across the UK. I've worked a lot with neurodivergent people, including those with ADHD and autism, and with women going through perimenopause or menopause.
We start with a free 30-minute chat online. After that you can book a package or just book time when you need it. Most sessions are by video call, and I write up what we agreed so you don't have to remember it all.
No. Everything we talk about stays between us. I won't contact your employer unless you ask me to.
That's what the free chat is for. You don't need to have it all worked out before we speak. A lot of people just want somewhere safe to think it through.
